Massachusetts Republican Assembly

"A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs, which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell numbers..... And if there are those that cannot subscribe to these principals, then let them go their way."
--Ronald Reagan.

There is one group of Republicans in Massachusetts with such fundamental beliefs that they will not compromise. They call themselves "The Republican Wing of the Republican Party." The official name is the Republican Assembly of Massachusetts, a state chapter of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies. Recently I joined the Republican Assembly.

For just about the clearest statement of what Republicans believe, you can't beat what the Republican Assembly states on our website:

WE BELIEVE That all political power should reside in, and be directed by, the PEOPLE; That all human RIGHTS are granted by GOD, not GOVERNMENT, which is constituted to protect those rights;

That the CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA was written by wise and just men whose original intent is as valid and binding today as when it was written;

That the first right is the RIGHT to LIFE--from the life of the unborn child to all persons regardless of age or infirmity--and the practices of ABORTION, EUTHANASIA, SUICIDE, and the public funding of such practices is contrary to the LAWS of NATURE and of Nature's GOD;

That the traditional FAMILY is society's BULWARK against tyranny--in fact the very foundation and corner-stone of society--and we, therefore, oppose any attempt to undermine or redefine the family;

That the FOUNDERS of our CIVIL REPUBLIC wisely prohibited the civil authority from establishing a state religion or inhibiting the citizens' RELIGIOUS FREEDOM, while recognizing that all authority on Earth is held in TRUST for the ULTIMATE AUTHORITY, GOD, leaving a large room, in our PUBLIC LIFE, for a just recognition of our utter reliance on DIVINE PROVIDENCE for the BLESSINGS of LIBERTY;

That free market capitalism has proven superior to all other arrangements in creating OPPORTUNITIES for INDIVIDUALS to PRODUCE, CREATE, and PROSPER;

That our FEDERAL system of GOVERNMENT is most conducive to LIBERTY, EQUALITY, and PROSPERITY when the balance of STATES' RIGHTS and NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY is maintained as the FOUNDERS intended in the provisions of the CONSTITUTION, and in particular in the much-neglected TENTH AMENDMENT.

Sounds good to me. How about you? You can find more information about the Republican Assembly of Massachusetts at www.mass-republican-assembly.com.
